in this day and age everyone has a myspace. even your grandma. keep everyone up to date on your life, answer silly questions in your bulletins, and post ridiculous pictures for all to see. yes, even your grandma.

whether you've got an iPhone or a big ol' thing from the early 2000's, you've got one. i mean, how else do they expect you to keep in touch with the world?

all the drama stuff happens in here. even the classes. everyone sits on the floor in a circle around one of the teachers and does... acting stuff. when the kids aren't in class they're putting on shows, the actors, the musicians, and the dancers.

this is where the musical magic happens. all the musicians take they're classes here. there is constant noise coming from this room, happen to pass by it at three in the morning? you'll be sure to hear some sort of something happenin' in there. can't promise it'll always be beautiful music though...

the studio is where all dance classes are held. it's a building that's separate from the rest of the school and is basically one big room with a few little rooms attached. it's wall to wall mirrors and bars with the best dance floor money can buy. plus a killer sound system.

this place looks like something out of harry potter. it's a huge circular room with ceilings so high you wonder how anyone can ever get to those books at the top. all the writers take their classes here. and no, you don't have to whisper in here.

so, really, it's needless to say that there's a lot of oddly named places around this school. but all the students agree that by far the elephant room is the oddest. there's nothing even remotely similar to an elephant about it. except, perhaps it's size. even though it's broken down into sections the room is huge and only for the artists.

all the circus arts are taken right in the tent that's set up in the lush grounds. there's a trapeze, a tight rope, and all sorts of super fun things. but watch out for the lions, they're not always as friendly as you'd hope.

contrary to the name, macabre woods is one of the most pleasant places on campus. a beautiful lush forest with a hidden cabin and a bunch of little flowing streams. it's sits on the east edge of blackberry lake and wraps around to the south stretching even off school grounds.

glowworm fields is an odd place. no one's really sure why the call it glowworm fields as no one's ever found a glowworm in the place. but, regardless, it's pretty lovely. it's just a huge field with a dirt path leading down to the lake. the grass reaches your shoulders and gorgeous wild flowers grow throughout. there's families of rabbits and squirrels and all sorts of wonderful little creatures. it meets macabre woods at the south end.

everyone knows that the original school burned down sometime in the twenties and the ruins are big proof. for a long time they were simply ruins, but now they've put in some structure and have made it into a great place for the theater kids to put on shows. or for everybody to just hang out.

dandelion abbey is an old church that was turned into the girl's dormitory. it's a gorgeous place with tons of art work and interesting tunnels. sure, it's a bit creaky but after a while all the freshman get used to it and some even come to absolutely adore it.

tangerine, or 'tang' as everyone likes to call it is basically the hipster club of blackberry. complete with loft bar, bright orange couches, and the most obnoxious drinks you can think of. bands play there every once in a while, but mainly it's a place for dj's to come, play their tracks, and watch the people dance the night away.

xylophone cinemas is owned by a short fast-talking indonesian man who's absolutely obsessed with xylophones and movies. needless to say, his first thought was to open some little old fashioned theater that had something to do with xylophones. and that's what he did. now it's a bit ramshackle, the workers certainly aren't as pleasant, and the floor sticks to your shoes like it's screaming 'no take me with you!' but, it's still the only theater by blackberry. take what you get, i suppose.

finnigan's rainbow is just about the coolest place in the world. owned by this jolly old gay scot, it's probably the brightest place within seven hundred miles of blackberry lake. sure, it's a pub but that doesn't mean it has to be dark, dank, and depressing... at least that's what finnigan says.

yes it is. and it's just about the coolest comic book store in the whole friggin' world. they've got everything from vintage superman to sandman to super indie graphic novels no one's heard of to the hulk.

sometimes i doubt boarding school students could live without a blockbuster. no, it doesn't have as many movies as netflix. no, it doesn't really have any movies you wanna watch. and yes, that candy is from 1974. but it's blockbuster, right?

ok so, no, it's not the most imaginative name in blackberry but by golly it's the best grocery store you'll ever see. it's like an amish market in there. like a cozy wegman's. it's huge, cheap, and smells like... well like fresh produce.

clemence's attic is the local bookstore. it's really not anything special, except for the basement where local book groups get together. there's a bar down there. not too many kids hang here, except for the writers and occasionally the theater kids. but, then again...
